1993 - Hellboy first appeared on the scene in Hellboy is a comic book character created by Mike Magnolis for Dark Horse Comics. This character is known as Anung un Rama- Beast of the apocalypse. He has been a staple in many comics and his appearance has been felt in the world of comic book fame. Hellboy has appeared in major motion pictures, DVD’s, full novels, video games, and comic books. There have been so many major events in the Hellboy franchise and series.
1994 to 2003 – comic books the saga for Hellboy continues in the comic book world.
2004 – Hellboy has been materialized on screen in the major motion picture, HellboyI in where it describes the young creature being summoned over to his new world buy a Nazi Occultist and is given a home by a scientist and grows up to be a red fist fighting flying hero.
2004 - Hellboy has appeared in other stories like Andy Warhol’s Dracula Series with Blade, Shaft, the punisher and other well known comic book characters.
2004 - Art of Hellboy won an Eisner award.
2007 - The best comic related book won the Eagle award for Hellboy: Darkness calls
2007 - Hellboy has also had two DVD’s of animated scenes, entitled Hellboy: Sword of Storms and Hellboy: Blood and Iron.
2008 - Hellboy II- The Golden Army was released where Hellboy is trying to be a hero but he realizes he is still feared by everyone. He has to fight elven princes and mechanical soldiers in a fight to save the world. There is talk and slow creation of a third movie in the Hellboy series where Hellboy fights an arch angel and he learns to become the father of twins
2008 - Project fanboy awards are won for Best Indy Hero and Best Indy character.
2008 - Hellboy was the feature character of the paper back entitled Darkness calls, and the soon to be released Wild Hunt coming out in 2010.
June of 2008 – There are also video games that have been created from the Hellboy series. In Hellboy: The Science of Evil was released by Krome Studios with the famous characters Abe Sapien, Liz Sherman and Lobster Johnson.
January of 2009 – Hellboy II the video game entitled The Golden Army-Tooth Fairy Terror was released.
January of 2010 – The Hellboy slot machine gets released by Microgaming online gaming network
